ArtSite combines a teaching Museum with a student Gallery and Portfolio to inspire curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a global view of history and civilization.
Log in from anywhere...anytime. Students only see the Museum, Gallery, and Portfolio pages created by their own teacher and classmates. ArtSite is a great homework tool!
In the Gallery, students become curators of your own art collections. They explore the ArtSite Museum, choose a work of art, and then write their own description or they can create Gallery pages beginning with a new work of art.
If the ArtBlog is activated, students can enter into a discussion about works of art on their Gallery pages. Teachers approve all comments before they are posted.
Students contribute studio art and writing to ArtSite's Portfolio.
Teachers can save the best Portfolio pages from each year to inspire new students.
ArtSearch, the teacher customized Internet search engine, is loaded with weblinks so teachers can direct students to specific sites for browsing and research. Add any number of web links organized by your choice of search categories.
Teachers can try out ArtSite for free for 30 days!
Subscribe for only $39.00 per year. Student access is always free!
"ArtSite is perhaps the most impressive art app out there for those in education. It allows students to create virtual galleries, find out some background on museum pieces and comment on work of other students. It is also a fantastic tool for teachers, who can download pictures from museum websites, and show material to their class when connecting their iPad to a HD TV. This app is cloud-based, allowing users to access it online or on a mobile device."
