ArtSite Basic Screen Shots

ArtSite Home Page
From the home page, students and teachers can browse the Museum, Gallery, Portfolio, and ArtSearch. After logging in, teachers are directed to pages where they can create and edit Museum pages and manage student records. Students are directed to pages where they can create and edit Gallery and Portfolio pages.
Museum Page
The Museum is searchable by collection name and thumbnail image. Each thumbnail image opens a display page as shown. Teachers can add, change, and delete an unlimited number of Museum pages organized by an unlimited number of collection names.

MyMuseum
Teachers can download art images from museum web sites or print sources to create new museum pages. Image descriptions can be copied from web sites or teachers can write descriptions appropriate for their students. Add project suggestions to inspire students to contribute their own writing or to inspire students to create related studio projects.

Teacher's can easily customize ArtSite and manage student records by clicking the links on the left border.

< MyGallery
When students log in on the home page, they are directed to MyGallery. They can browse the ArtSite Museum and write their own description of the art on display (shown here) or create a Gallery page with a new image and description.

The Gallery pages are searchable by collection, class name, and/or a student name and can be printed for grading and sharing. If the ArtBlog is activated, a text box will appear below the student's writing. Previous comments will also be displayed after they have been approved by the teacher. The ArtBlog can be turned on and off for each class.

< The Portfolio
The Portfolio can be searched by academic year, class name, student name, teacher's name, grade level, and media. Teachers can save the best portfolio pages from each year to inspire future students. Students can print their Portfolio pages to display or share with friends.

After a student logs in on the homepage and clicks MyPortfolio they are directed to a listing of their own Portfolio pages. Students can add an unlimited number of new pages or delete and change exiting Portfolio pages.

ArtSearch
Giude students to useful websites with ArtSearch, a teacher customized Internet search engine. When Internet access is available, the selected site will open in a second Internet browser window. You can add, change, or delete an unlimited number of websites organized by any number of search categories.
