ArtSite Classroom Project Ideas
ArtSite starts you off with over 120 Museum pages; each filled with an image, description, and a couple of project suggestions.

ArtSite includes over 300 project suggestions to encourage student research & writing or to inspire new studio art projects. You can easily change the project suggestions, delete the ones you don't like, and add a few new ones.

Here are a examples of a few of the images and related project ideas from the ArtSite Museum:

Go on a treasure hunt on the Internet and upload an Egyptian tomb object to your Gallery page. Describe the object, its use, and how it was made. Where did the Egyptians get materials such as gold, alabaster, and gem stones?

On your next trip to a museum, take along your digital camera. If the museum permits, take pictures of your favorite art works. Become the curator of your own gallery by uploading your images and adding your own descriptions.

Upload a painting by Winslow Homer that tells the story of coastal life in Maine. Describe the role the drama of nature and the sea played in his life and work.

Design a mythology game. Create a board game based on the adventures of the Greek heroes and heroines. Choose a favorite story and note the details you would like to include in the game. Write a rule book and design and produce the necessary accessories: a board, cards, dice, spinners, etc.
